Energy work encompasses many teachings and philosophies and more people than ever seem to be interested in it. Information about energy work is referenced and available across many informational outlets and resources. There is so much information about it that it can feel daunting, causing feelings of overwhelm and uncertainty about what’s true since information about it seems to be everywhere and various source information can be conflicting. For example,  one source may claim there are 5 chakra’s, another, 7, another 8, others even 11, or 12. One may say the crown chakra is white, another violet. So how do you determine what’s right for you or “rings true” to you?  By connecting with your inner guide and listening to your intuition as you explore.

It’s important to keep an open mind and and pay close attention to your own experience in various types of energy work, traditions, styles and teachings and to also look for the crossover information you may find from one type of energy work to another and the greater vast of information that it is tapping into. When deciding to work with someone you can look at their, certifications, training and experience. Contact them and ask some questions concerning your needs and what it is you would like to get out of the relationship and working with them. If it’s not a good fit, maybe they can refer you to someone that might be based on your particular needs and interests.

As with any spiritual study or quest, you have to do your own research and practice to determine what is real and true for you-what feels right for you, your life, your needs, your beliefs; with the allowing/allowance for others having that same freedom of exploration and interpretation of their beliefs and truths. At present there seems to be a merging of teachings  and support of these energy teachings occurring right now within many fields including energy work. metaphysics, brain research and healing modalities with the advances in technology supporting what the ancient masters, yogis, and teachers new all along.
