Gentle Care During Pregnancy

Gentle Care During Pregnancy

Pregnancy yoga therapy helps expectant mothers experience less complications, pain, emotional swings and interventions during their pregnancy, helping to  support a healthier and more peaceful pregnancy for mom and baby.

See what Nancy Nicolas had to say about her experience (Testimonials). Sherrian used yoga therapy to support Nancy’s changing body and physiology through her trimesters, including pre-labor, labor and delivery, as a Yoga Birth Assistant. Right before the birth of Nancy’s daughter, Dori, Sherrian led Nancy’s husband through some gentle yoga poses to help him relax, ultimately helping Nancy relax too.

A yoga practice designed for your needs based on where you are in your pregnancy, including any preexisting conditions or changes caused by pregnancy, can help you prepare physically and emotionally for the changes occurring during your unique pregnancy, the birthing process and early motherhood.  Practices can be designed to prepare your body for labor and delivery including your hips, pelvic floor, and breath capacity to help facilitate a shorter and less painful labor with potentially fewer complications and interventions.

Postnatal yoga can help you restore your body and physiology, thereby, helping you to re-balance your hormones as you adjust to motherhood and the new life you have brought into the world.
